Tinnitus Cure: What's Popular And What You Need

by Jymm Blowstanza

Tinnitus is often associated with loud noises and hearing loss, but this is not the only way one gets it. It can also be brought about by ear allergies or infections, or in some cases remain unexplained. It is described as hearing a ringing sound when there is no emanating sound in the real world for the ear to catch.

A common treatment to relieve suffering caused by the ringing sensation is tinnitus masking. Masking is achieved when another sound is able to cover or mask the ringing. For example, one could turn the radio over to a frequency without a station and the static can mask the perceived sound. Water flowing out of a faucet will mask it just as well. There are certain kinds of music, like noise & ambient, that were devised and are marketed for this very purpose. Masking, however, is no substitute for an actual tinnitus cure.

In fact, there are multiple ways of dealing with tinnitus, so much so that you really need to get medical advice before trying any of them. They range from the expensive like surgery and electric stimulation, to comparatively tamer solutions, like medicines, tinnitus herbal cures, or even therapy. The important thing before trying anything is to diagnose what your tinnitus is a symptom of.

Onion juice, passion flower, mistletoe tea, sunflower seeds, lesser periwinkle, black cohosh, goldenseal, horsetail, plantain, gingko biloba, and castor oil are just some herbs known to help heal tinnitus. Other herbs can give you that ringing sensation, like aspirin & similar herbs & should be avoided at all costs.

Some herbs do help people with tinnitus, but they are not medically accepted as tinnitus cures. Most are safe to use, with allowances made for personal allergies. Use caution when selecting a herb to use, as well as where to buy them, to avoid wasting your resources.

To get a proper tinnitus cure, you must depend on the assessment of medical professionals. Tinnitus is caused by any number of medical conditions, and depending on what those conditions are, you may or may not want to use herbs. Seek professional advice before you try it.

Tinnitus cures are many and readily available. Tinnitus masking is the most popular among these, but tinnitus herbal cures are starting to gain interest online. But tinnitus is not treated on its own; it is a symptom of another external cause. You must depend on the assessment of medical professionals when choosing a cure and use your discretion before trying anything.
